First let me introduce myself. My name is Shane Cole, I am 55 years old, I grew up and have lived in the mid west until I recently moved to Dunkirk in July of 2020. Since the age of 15 I have been caring for dogs, cats, horses and many other species of my own and other people's. I am aware that these wonderful animals are a part of your family. I know how difficult it can be to trust someone with these four legged family members. My goal is that your dogs or cats have a positive experience and that you can relax and not worry that they are safe and needs are being met. I have taken care of a wide range of animals for other people and I realize the needs of young puppy or kitten are completely different than that of an older animal who may need assistance moving around it's environment. I also recognize all breeds have different dispositions and unique personalities. I have worked with animals who struggle with fear and trust and who have anxiety when it storms. I also feel it is important for me to ask questions and listen to your instructions. I will also keep a personal file on each animals needs and instructions.

Shane has been a friend for fifteen years and I can absolutely guarantee that he is reliable, conscientious and responsible when it comes to animals and his commitment to them. I will only use Shane to care for my dog and horse when I need to travel. All animals take to Shane and trust him immediately and his love and kindness towards them and their care are never ending. I can not think of anyone I would recommend any more highly than Shane. He is a man of virtue, honesty and compassion.
For several years Shane looked after our horses, house dogs and barn cats when we were out of town. He stayed at our house so he would be right there as needed. He was very observant and several times noticed a problem with a horse - one time it was either a spider or snake bite, and he worked with the vet to provide the recommended care. Once, when we had a timid rescue dog that was afraid to go back in the house, Shane spent the night in the backyard with her! He was always both diligent in his care and compassionate, and truly loved our animals. When we moved out of state, we even talked to Shane about living in the house if it didn’t sell before we left so it would be occupied. We would trust Shane with our animals and in our home without any hesitation.
My husband and I love Shane! He is a beautiful soul and he LOVES animals of all kinds. He cared for our cats, one of our dogs, AND our horses for many years until we moved out of the state. He became a very dear friend over those years. He has also always been an awesome pet owner and gives all animals the best of care. Shane is extremely trustworthy.
