Pet care experience
I have been working with and training therapy dogs for the past 12 years. I am now a student at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine after graduating in May of 2017 with a Animal Science degree from Cornell's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. I have shadowed extensively at a small animal clinic and have worked at many horse barns, so I am comfortable administering medications and doing first aid if needed. I have worked with many different species so I am able to work in multi-species homes if you have cats or other pets in addition to your dog! I am more than willing to accommodate any specific needs of your pet, and I am comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and ages. I know that dogs require and crave structure, and I am a very responsible and punctual person so would bring those qualities to ensuring the highest care for your pet. I am very attentive to dog behavior and would be very attentive to your dog's individual needs.

For the second year, Shana took care of all of our pets while we were on vacation. This included 4 dogs, 4 cats (including a diabetic cat that needed twice daily insulin injections), 2 guinea pigs and a bunny. All of our pets are always well taken care of and loved when Shana stays with them. She also send us frequent updates and photos. We completely trust Shana with our pets and home while we are away. Shana feels more like family to us than just a pet sitter and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter.
Shana was a wonderful pet sitter. She took care of our house full of animals for a week, which included 4 dogs, 6 cats (including two diabetic cats that needed insulin injections twice a day), guinea pigs, hamsters, a bunny and a lizard. Each animal was well cared for and well loved while we were away. Every day I received multiple texts and photos keeping me updated on how everyone was doing. I was completely confident while we were away that all of our pets were in great hands. I came home to happy pets and a house that was cleaner than I left it. I could not ask for a better pet sitter than Shana. This was my first time using Rover so was not sure what to expect, but I could not be happier. I will definitely be using Shana every time we travel!
Shana did an excellent job. This was her 2nd time staying with Trigger. He did well and got daily walks and playtime. We loved getting the daily photos and updates. Highly recommend Shana.
Shana is wonderful! Friendly, well qualified and genuinely loves animals! We were very happy to have found her and completely comfortable with leaving Cookie in her care. She reached out to give us an update during the visit which was appreciated. We will use Shana again without reservation!
