Pet care experience
I was born and raised in Taiwan and lived with dogs pretty much my entire childhood! In college I was in a school club where we cared for and performed TNR on street dogs and cats. I learned a lot about how to interact with timid and scared rescue animals. After moving to New York in 2016, I was a volunteer at Animal Care Centers. There I took shelter dogs out for walks while they were waiting to be adopted. In 2021, I adopted my current dog, Pocky, and have been pouring all my love on her ever since! <3

Shan-Tan was so excellent with Bert! She texted us consistent updates in a group chat so my partner got them as well, and included videos! She honored our directions and always asked before she gave a new treat, took him somewhere, etc. He is happy to be home, but I think he misses her!
We had a wonderful experience with Shan-Tan and Norris watching our dog, Zeke, for a 4-day weekend. From the first outreach, Shan-Tan was very responsive, professional and organized; we also greatly appreciated the opportunity to meet everyone in their apartment before the stay. Our experience of the stay was also fantastic; we got a lot of updates and photos, and we could tell that Shan-Tan was very conscientiously taking care of our dog in the same way we would have. Most importantly, we could tell our dog had a great time. Zeke was engaged and having fun all weekend, playing with fun toys and their dog Pocky, and going on adventures in the neighborhood. All-in-all a great experience, and we'll definitely ask them to watch Zeke again!
Incredibly caring and kind, made my dog incredibly comfortable and made us just as comfortable with updates and pictures. We will be booking again soon!

We like to snuggle on the couch in the living room, where there is also a basket full of dog toys (squeaky, chew, and nose work) to keep our dogs entertained. Our favorite thing is to play catch and tug of war with the dogs we sit! Typically we take the dogs out for walks three times a day around the neighborhood and let them take in the sunlight and various smells along the way as much as they want.

Please let me know if your dog has any food allergies or things they are scared of. It would be ideal to meet ahead of time to see if our dogs get along before confirming the booking. You are welcome to visit out apartment to see the environment your dog will be in!
