Caring for animals is what I want to do with my life. In fact, I am almost done with my bachelors degree in Animal Studies and Conservation. Therefore you can relax while you're away knowing that I really do care about your pets and want them to have the best time they can while you’re away. In my care, your pets will have as close to their normal routine as possible. I spend more time with your pets. I typically work in 4 1/2 to 5 hour shifts away from home at a time. That means aside from errands etc, I can be with your pets giving them the care they need. My schedule is flexible and I can work as much or as little as I need to to keep your pets as comfortable as possible while you're gone. It is my goal to make your life easier by doing what I love. I am a pet sitter, a house sitter, a dog walker, and an animal lover.

Extremely happy with Sholanda. She stayed in our house and watched our two dogs, cat, hamster, fish and even a litter of kittens we're fostering. She took good care of everyone and cleaned up after herself, including doing a load a towels and her own bedding, which was way more than I expected. We had a previous bad experience with a Rover house sitter so I was nervous, but I'll book with Sholanda again in a heartbeat. Very pleased.
Shalonda did a wonderful job with our mini dachshund, Chester. We were impressed with her professionalism, and we will be happy to book with her again in the future!
Shalonda was the best sitter we could ever imagine for our furkid Bailey! We previously had a bad experience boarding Bailey and decided we could never do that again. Shalonda was aware of our past experience and went above and beyond in assuring us that Bailey would be well taken care of. She sent numerous photos and videos of our puppy during our entire 2-week vacation away, as well as daily updates. The initial anxiety I had upon leaving Bailey for those 2 weeks quickly disappeared after seeing how happy and content she was in the videos. Thank you Shalonda for everything!
Shalonda is wonderful! My dog is a rescue and we’ve had some anxiety issues in the past after boarding him so I was SO happy to find Shalonda. She was incredibly professional, friendly and helpful. She was great with my dog during our first meeting and her consultation was very thorough. She made me feel very comfortable leaving my dog and house in her care. She sent me updates and pictures throughout my time away and when I came home, my house looked neater than I left it and my dog was a very happy guy! The best part…we’ve had no anxiety issues since I returned which speaks volumes to me about my dog’s experience while I was away. Shalonda is wonderful and clearly passionate about animals. She will be my go to person in the future and I would (and will) recommend her to anyone looking for a very professional, kind and caring dog sitter!

I don't discriminate by breed. I judge based on your dog's needs, temperment, etc. P.S My chocolate lab pretty recently passed away so if you have chocolate labs I'd be extra happy to snuggle them<3 I only ask that if you book me for walking services, your dog does know how to walk on a leash. It doesn’t need to be perfect, but the goal of that service is not to train your dog on how to walk.
A typical day
I'm always open to trying out new parks and trails you guys suggest, just let me know! On overnights I like to take dogs on their usual walks around the neighborhood with the optional trip to the park. I do this because I want your dog to be the most comfortable when you're away and that means routine and familiar surroundings. Your dogs will most likely be on their walks solo. Each dog likes different things whether that means shorter or longer walks, places to swim vs places with room to throw the frisbee, places with more dogs or with less; Each dog is different. I try my best to cater our time to suit their wants and needs and that means giving YOUR dogs my full attention.
