Pet care experience
I have had experience at a dog daycare and veterinary hospital for multiple years. I have fed, walked, played with and bathed dogs and cats. I am currently a veterinary student studying to be a veterinarian. I have worked in general practice and emergency. I am good at watching and knowing what signs to look for in case of an emergency. I have also administered oral medication, subcutaneous medicine and intramuscular medication.

I paid Shafarah a full day’s (24hr) worth of her rate to watch my pups from 5:30PM to 11:30PM and the only set of instructions I left was to walk them at 8PM and 10:30PM. She was unresponsive during that time and did not walk them at the agreed times. I called her four times and messaged repeatedly and she did not answer. She also left my door not only unlocked but open with my dogs inside our home, which is dangerous and reckless. I’m incredibly upset about the whole ordeal and thankful I didn’t entrust her with my dogs overnight.
Shafarah did such an excellent job caring for my two akitas and house! I really appreciated her willingness to get to know my dogs prior to the first overnight stays by doing meet and greet walks a couple times and taking such interest in their personalities! Leading up to and during her stay she was consistent with her communication and sent nice photos and updates! She kept my house tidy, plants watered, and my dogs very happy and cared for! She is personable, responsible, and not to mention studying hard in vet school! I will absolutely book with her again!
Shafarah was absolutely amazing and we plan on using her all the time going forward.

I live in an apartment, so I would like to pet sit at others home, especially if they have a fenced in yard. I am energetic and I pay close attention to body language and personal boundaries for the pets. I want them to feel comfortable with me and understand we are friends.

A typical day
I love to stimulate dogs mentally and physically. I like to test their ability to obey and follow commands. During walks, I allow time to sniff around and explore the world with their noses. I know my dog’s favorite show is Clifford, so I’m happy to watch Tv with any pup.

Availability
I am a vet student, therefore I will be able to care for pets on the weekends and some of the week days. Sometimes I will be off for holidays or special occasions where I can tend to the needs of owners.
