Pet care experience
Raised on a small farm, I have experience from the smallest reptile all the way to horses and cattle. You know that friend that walks through your door and your fur baby is immediately excited to see them? 🙋🏻♀️ That would be me. Family, friends & neighbors often ask for my care for their animals because they know that their animals will be safe, healthy and happy when they return.
Reviews
She was truly amazing with the boys sent picture updates every day and made me feel really comfortable about her caring for the animals they were very happy when I got home! Highly recommend
Loved Shae! Our animals were so comfortable while we were gone and she took such good care of them! She is a natural animal lover and comfortable taking care of them! We felt confident knowing she was here with our animals. Recommend her 1000%
Great experience! Took very good care of my two labs. Will book with again.
Shaelene went above and beyond for our dog over the holidays. She cared for our big girl and made sure to accommodate any anxiety issues that arose. Shaelene is a hardworking, thoughtful, creative problem solver. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Having daily updates and pictures/ videos sent made us feel so safe and comfortable knowing our dog was loved while we were away. We will definitely hire Shaelene again! Highly recommend.

Typical home care for me is 2-4 times daily, typically every 5 hours. If your animal is crated/kenneled they go out for an immediate restroom break, (which can be followed by a scheduled/free feeding depending on the client request) and 15-30 minutes of play/steady walking (depending on client request). If your animal is kept in yard, or loose inside the home with yard access (doggy door) then I feed/water according to the client request, and we play/walk for 30 mins. This typically occurs 2-4 times a day, or roughly every 5 hours. I’m proficient at administering medications as well as knowledgeable in dog and cat CPR. My mother & Aunt are also local Vet Technicians, so I have access to their expertise if I should need it.
Information Shaelene H. would like to know about your pet
I always request any allergy, diet restriction, and behavioral needs in advance. I’m not opposed to any special requests, so long as they are brought to my attention prior to booking. This helps me allow for the safest & healthiest interaction with your pet as possible.
A typical day
I prefer to walk high energy dogs on a harness, and in a well spaced outdoor nature trail/area so they have room to explore safely. Client permitting, I also like to take dogs to ‘dog parks’ for social interaction and fenced running/playing.

Availability
I’m currently a “SAHM” to older teenagers and so my time and hours are more flexible. I can provide care as early or as late as is requested. It’s important to me that we follow the animals regular routine so they feel less stress while their person is away.
