Hello! My name is Shadie. Thank you for taking a look at my profile. About 10 years ago I decided to give in home doggie daycare a try. I absolutely love it. I've hosted hundreds of dogs in my home in the span of those 10 years. This has been a great opportunity to spend time getting to know all different breeds of dogs in all sizes and ages. I've hosted anywhere from Chihuahuas to Great Danes. Dogs that are a few months old on up to 14-15 years of age. I have experience with dogs that have physical disabilities, anxiety/depression, and administering different kinds of medications. I've had dogs all my life. My husband Brandon and I currently have 1 dog. A Chihuahua named willie. My home is very well maintained and we have a large, fenced backyard. Be assured that your four legged family member would be cared for in the same manner they would be if they were in their own home. About this sitter: My husband, Brandon, and I currently live in Vancouver Washington. We've been here for almost 3 years but have been in the Portland area for most of our lives. We're both avid dog lovers and always look for an opportunity to involve our 3 dogs in our activities. We all love going to the beach, camping, hiking, and road trips. As I said in my previous paragraph this is now my full-time job. My previous work experience has included working for the Portland Clinic and the American Red Cross with my primary duties including working with patients and testing blood samples. My husband is in union construction and works as a Foreman out at Intel. He's been in that line of work for about 10 years now. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover my entire life. I've always owned dogs and currently have 3. Most of my friends have dogs and we will trade off on dog sitting when needed. All my dogs are current on vaccines and are neutered. Meet my pets I have 3 dogs. My dogs are a 10 year old black and tan coonhound mix, a 9 year old lab mix, and a 2 year old Chihuahua. They're all very gentle with other animals no matter what they are or their size. About my yard I have a large, grassy backyard. I have a 6ft wooden fence that has a secured gate. I have a dog that is an escape artist and as long as the gate is blocked he can't get out. If he can't get out no one can get out. My experience administering medication As long as I'm given all the information that I need to know I have no problem giving medication. I've had to give it to my own dogs on several occasions.
