My husband and I were going out of town for labor day weekend and were looking for a sitter for our puppy, Skittles, for the weekend. We chose Sergia based on her positive reviews on Rover. When we dropped off Skittles, Sergia wasn't home. Her mom was home and explained that they both watch over the dogs. Her mom also explained to me that someone would always be home to watch our puppy and that we would get frequent updates and pictures as Sergia was good at updating and sending pics. The next day we didn't get any updates so I texted Sergia asking how Skittles was doing and she said she was fine and sent us three pics. We didnt hear back for the rest of the day. Following day we asked her to send us more pics because we wanted to see how she was doing. We received a few pics most of which were blurry and nothing else. Almost as if they were taken without effort just to appease us. The following day we went to pick up Skittles and when we got there no one was home. When we rang the doorbell we could hear a few dogs barking and a dog crying and whimpering and we could tell it was Skittles crying. The only time she cries is when she's scared because she's been put in a crate. When Sergia's mom came back from the grocery store, she said she would bring Skittles down but my husband demanded to go up to see her because we knew she was being crated and she would not allow me to go up. My husband asked her why our puppy was being crated and she denied that she was crated and he told her that the only time she cries like that is when she is crated. When she brought down Skittles she was visibly scared and shaking and my husband demanded to know why she was being crated and why no one was home when she explained to me in the beginning that someone would always be home. She then told me that she crated her because she went to the grocery store. So she had lied to me and told me she did not crate her at all when in fact she did. So the fact that she lied about crating her and not knowing how long she was put in there and scared while all the other dogs were roaming around without supervision. And from what i could see there were about 5 other dogs in the house without supervision. This all makes me wonder how my puppy was treated by Sergia and her mom. The fact that we did not get any updates unless we asked, did not get any pics sent unless we asked and, most importantly, the fact that my puppy was put in a crate, scared and crying around unsupervised dogs and that we were lied to about it is completely unacceptable. When my husband told Sergia's mom she should not be doing this kind of paid service if they're not properly watching the dogs, she said she could go out of the house and do what she wants. Baffled by that one. You run a paid service to watch dogs when you're not going to even watch the dogs. And to not know how long my puppy was in the crate for (which could have been the whole time) and to have her come back scared is ridiculous. I would suggest for everyone to look elsewhere as I would never recommend them to anyone.

Sergia and her mom were wonderful with my dog. They were very patient, sent me updates and he had a great time. I will definitely have our dog stay with her again.
