Dogs have featured in my life from when I was born, more recently I care for other people’s pets. Personally I have always owned medium to large breeds including, German Shepherds, Doberman Pinchers, Lab cross. Over my life I have always been the one in the family to be called in for any pet sitting. Unfortunately, I said goodbye to my last Dobie Tilly last year, and as we like to do some traveling now, we have branched out to pet sitting to get my doggy fix lol! I also occasionally walk a dog for a friend who works long hours. I am comfortable in walking, playing, bathing, grooming etc. My approach with dogs has always been to show I am top dog by showing them I respect them so they respect me (cuddles are a given of course 😊) I am currently working on a temporary contract from home. I am a grandparent so I do have grandchildren over regularly but they are used to dogs and have always enjoyed accompanying me in walks. I have a fenced garden, plenty of space downstairs for them to have a comfortable stay. I am also a 5 minute walk from a large park which also has a secure enclosed space for dogs that can’t be trusted off lead to return, enabling them to have a proper run and exercise. For clients who just need someone to let their pet out for toilet breaks, this would need to be local to me if needed during the day, I can be flexible in my lunch breaks to help for this service.
