Prior to hiring Selina as our house/dog sitter, I scheduled a meet and greet with her. At that time, I felt very comfortable hiring her. My husband and I also got to meet with her a second time before our 10-day vacation. We went over our dog (Henry’s) care instructions. The first night we were gone, an unidentified man who appeared to be her significant other came to our home. He stayed in our home multiple nights and was even left unsupervised in our home (with our dog) while Selina was out. We are very careful about who we leave in our home and caring for Henry, which is why we met with Selina twice. At no point did she ask permission to have company or an overnight guest. A stranger was in our home with our dog unattended, we don’t even know his first name. After a few days, he left. Another male came to our house twice for very short visits (about 15 minutes). We’re fairly new to Rover, but it seems highly inappropriate to invite guests into our home without asking permission. Our next concern, we asked Selina to take Henry for a short walk every day as that is what he’s used to. Henry was not walked 4/10 days. Selina was also gone for 12+ hours at a time 3 days in a row. We understood she had a job but were not told she would be gone for such extended periods of time. Lastly, in our written and verbal instructions, we specifically asked that Henry only be let out in our backyard and not the front yard. There were multiple occasions where Henry was let out front. Overall, we were incredibly disappointed with the breach of trust and exercise our dog received. We’re happy that Henry is okay but will not be using this sitter again.

We have a lot of pets and the biggest challenge is 2 senior dogs and a new puppy. Rabbitt took great care of all of them. We got photos and videos every day. Our dogs were playing and sleeping like we never left. We will definitely have her pet sit again.
