I know how hard it can be to trust a stranger with your precious furry family members, so please allow me to introduce myself. I’m Selena, I am 26 years old and my greatest passion in life is dogs! I just moved from Boston to sunny Delray Beach, and I am so excited to meet and care for all the adorable Floridian pups I’ve seen out and about. I currently work as a veterinary technician assistant at a pet care center in Palm Beach Gardens. I started my pet care career in 2016 here on Rover having just lost my dear childhood dog, Phoebe. Spending time with so many wonderful dogs has been therapeutic and life-changing. A heartbreaking loss helped me find my way in life. My passion for caring, interacting and observing dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, personalities and training levels was realized. I owe so much to my girl, Phoebe. I take pride in offering the best care I can to every pup I have the privilege of watching. I treat them as if they were my own and shower them all with so much love. I am extremely communicative and reliable, taking pictures constantly and sending updates all throughout the day. I have worked countless different jobs in this industry: housesitting, dog walking, doggy transportation, playgroup supervision (my personal favorite), kennel work, daycare attendant, drop-in care, senior dog care, puppy care, and some work in veterinary hospitals. I have a talent for seeing each dog’s unique disposition and react accordingly to help them feel as comfortable and loved as they can be under my care. I’m no dog whisperer, but I know that each and every dog is unique, which begs for personalized care for all the precious pups I encounter. I would love nothing more than to meet you and your dog, and hopefully get the chance to take care of them for you! The bonds we create together are lifelong and mean the world to me.
