For animal lovers, dogs are our hearts and souls. When they meet us at the door, it makes our whole day! I love spoiling dogs with affection, fun, and treats. Becoming a dog-sitter will allow me to share my love and personality with dogs. To me, dogs are more than dogs… they're family. I’ve been around dogs my whole life, and I have five of my own -- all adopted, ranging from a small terrier to a large husky mix. They are truly like my children. All my friends and family know I’m the designated fur parent, and I’m always called upon to dog-sit when friends are on vacation or just out for a date night. I’ve also volunteered with the Humane Society to clean kennels and give shelter pups some valuable love and playtime. I have experience with other animals as well -- birds, cats, fish, and rabbits (to name a few). I love how each animal is different, with different traits and personalities. Working with different species allows me to learn, research, and display different types of attention to support each animal. I am definitely open and willing to care and sit for other types of animals! Aside from my love of dogs, I’m a little quirky, definitely spontaneous, and always trying to create fun. I sometimes break out in groovy dance moves and random karaoke! On the more serious side, I’m honest and sincere. I always want to ensure that I say what I mean and do as I promise. I enjoy helping people and giving them a reason to smile and laugh. Anything I can do to make someone's day better -- I'll try! I want to always treat others the way I would like to be treated, and I follow through with my commitments to jobs and the people in my life. In my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking, and riding bikes. After my work day, I usually get at least an hour of active time to relieve the stress of the day. My husband and I often take walking trips around the neighborhood with our dogs to give us some exercise and give them some one-on-one attention. I like to make sure that wherever we go, the pups can come with us! Being around animals is a privilege. I can't wait to partner with owners and parents -- because relationships are so important and beneficial. But getting to meet new dogs and allowing my personality to shine is what makes me most excited about dog-sitting for Rover clients!
