Pet care experience
I’ve had extensive pet care in a wide range of animals and environments for the past 15 years. Now, I offer cozy full-time pet care in my home to offer a much more personalized, hands-on option to boarding. I started volunteering on a therapeutic horse farm at the young age of 8, and since, my love of pets has led me to sit and board dogs and cats of all sizes, birds, fish, reptiles, and even farm animals! - including chickens, baby goats, and outdoor Guinea hens. I've truly done it all. All of this experience has trained me in animal behavior, exercise, and fun pet play. I’ve sat for puppies who needed frequent play and potty breaks, as well as older dogs with sensitivity to sound and food allergies. I also have experience with deaf and blind pets. I’m well versed in admistrating medicine if needed - as I’ve sat for older dogs that require medicine twice a day and cats with asthma that need inhalers. I have a genuine love for pets - and see to it that they get the same care, love, and attention that they would if you were there. My services are meant to offer a friendlier, homier experience than a boarding care facility that charges you per potty break and extra for one-on-one playtime and attention. As an alternative, I fill in for you so that your pet feels like they're on vacation too and see to it that they don't miss a beat while you're gone. Sound good? Reach out! Selah is a great communicator with quick response times. She took great care of my little man Kai and even sent daily pictures. I could tell upon pickup that Kai was well fed, well hydrated, and attended to while I was gone for multiple days. Will definitely work with Selah in the future as my go-to.

This also unlocks cheaper nightly rates that we can agree upon, so that you can plan your wedding, graduate, or even go on a cruise vacation (I've covered those too!) while your pet stays safe and sound with me. Need long term rates past 14 days? Feel free to reach out - I'm super flexible! My longer-term rates are super competitive with boarding places in the Columbus area - how competitive? The last pet owner that booked a two-week vacation with me saved $300! 😳 Not to mention it was a much more personal experience and their dog was totally pampered and didn't miss a beat ❤️

I'd love to know the general habits of your pet so that I can give them appropriate care tailored to them! are they high energy or nervous? reserved or vocal? do they go to the door or do they just expect regular intervaled potty breaks? All of these quick tips help me make your pets stay super easygoing and comfy - and much more personalized than a boarding center! In addition, I love to know the dogs eating habits and favorite treats! I’m a practicing chef currently writing a cookbook - and love making pet-friendly, homemade treats as gifts for pups and to enjoy during their stay - and to take home.
A typical day
Dogs will enjoy long, winding walking paths and plentiful green areas attached to my townhome! It's currently Spring, and the colors and trees here get gorgeous. They can also walk with me to get my mail, and play in the numerous grassy areas when the weather starts to warm. I even have an enclosed fireplace for when they can be kept warm and snuggle up next to me on the couch :) Potty breaks are as frequent as they need them and I have plenty of time for play, treats, and little activities.

Availability
I am currently Full-Time on Rover, giving me extreme flexibility in my ability to board or sit pets. I’m home all day to give potty breaks, play, and groom if needed - also insure that pets aren’t left own their own too often. I’m also a big walker - as I often wander outside of my apartment to listen to music and podcasts - so it’s no issue to use this free time for pet care and extra exercise.
