Our pets are our family. They have two goals: to love us and to protect us. In exchange, we love them and protect them. It is the most clear-cut, symbiotic relationship that exists on Earth. The joy and happiness our pets bring us is one of the few constants of the human experience. As such, I make it my promise that I will treat your family member as kindly, playfully, and affectionately as I treat mine. While I have degrees and certifications, and have had experience in four industries: hospitality, finance, insurance, and the military, the only thing that completes my day is spending time with animals. I am truly passionate about the unique personalities our pets have, and am very attuned to handle the smallest of little ones to the largest (who still think they are the smallest). In my twenty years of experience with pets, I've had an Applehead Chihuahua, a Pomeranian, a Pekingese, a 30lb mix Rescue, and three awesome cats. While living in Sicily, I rescued two dogs and a cat, all of whom are part of my family now. One is registered as a Service Dog, after he had his training; he's our 80lbs little kid. We also have a 25 lbs "guard dog", and our cat who is sure he's one of the dogs. My day begins with walking the pups (even though they are 5 years old, they will always be our pups) and ends with another nice evening walk. And since I am a disabled veteran, I am able to give them multiple walks throughout the day. As your walker, I will give your kids the same attention I give mine while I walk them. I guarantee a 30 minute walk, and have availability Monday-Friday. Since I have experience with small and large dogs, the size of your little one is not an issue. I also understand some pups play better with others than other pups. I know how to look ahead and avoid situations that can make your pup uncomfortable. Sometimes, it's as simple as changing sides of the street. Others, distracting them with a soothing words and a treat will do the trick. As your sitter, for when you take a much needed vacation, I will come to your home and walk your dogs in the morning and the evening- a 30 minute walk both times, too. I know it can be unnerving to have someone come to your home while you aren't there. I've used Rover for the same purpose and had the same feeling. But let me assure you, as a former Sailor of the Year for the US Navy, a former GEICO Claims Supervisor, and a former Teller Supervisor for Bank of America, I have been thoroughly trained and vetted in safety and security. Each visit to your home will be accompanied with pictures of your pets and a follow up with your house being double checked that the doors are locked and the alarm is set (if applicable). It would be my pleasure to meet you and your pet(s) to see how everyone gets along and to discuss the unique needs that you need fulfilled so that you can feel as ease with trusting me with taking care of your pet.
