I grew up with many pets in my life. Since I was 8 or 9 years old, I was helping care for our eldest dog, Panda, a Collie/German Shepard mix. A few years later, I helped train our Kuvaz/German Shepard Mix, Shasta. In high school, I house trained our family’s two newest dogs, Lily - a Charpei/Beagle mix, and Daisy - a purebred cocker spaniel. I’ve always felt a special connection with dogs. We had many cats growing up too that I felt very bonded with, but I always felt I understood dogs more deeply. I currently have had a Shiba Inu Mix named Gaia that I got as a rescue in 2013. She was a challenge to learn how to communicate with, because she had no training, understood no words, and was not house trained. Now, 6 years later, I’ve never had a closer relationship and understanding with a dog in my life, and feel so blessed to have her with me. I cannot reasonably have more dogs at this point in my life, but would like to build some relationships with yourself, and establish some recurring dog walking sessions. The more dogs I can spend time with, the better. I love to go on walks for my own enjoyment and health as well as your dog’s. My dog will not be meeting your dogs, as she is sometimes a little aggressive when initially meeting new dogs. So, I am unable to board dogs overnight at my home, but I am glad to come to you.
