Pet care experience
My girlfriend and I have had dogs most of our lives! We love nature, walks and working outdoors and we enjoy letting a companion experience it with us. Since we do not have a dog yet, we would love to care for your dog, giving them a comfy home while your away until we get our own. Our .5 acre backyard offers plenty of room to play! We are both students and one of us is home always during the day. My family has a large farm where we spend time taking care of a wide variety of animals and have a lot of experience and understanding of how to care for and give them the attention they want! I've been debating on writing this for awhile. Let me preface this with the fact that this was our 4th or 5th time using them and previously did not have any issues. However, this last time they did not show up to the house. We were on a plane and realized after five hours no one had been by. Three different times they told us they were at the house when our alarm and later family members proved this was not the case. Our dog has separation anxiety as they knew and this was a very stressful situation to be in especially when we were out of town. That evening, my parents came to get the dogs who were in the dark, had accidents and hadn't had dinner. I understand things come up but was extremely uncomfortable that they told us they were at the house rather than tell us plans had changed.
Kaile and Scott were a great match for Rosco, who can be anxious around other dogs and kids. I appreciated that they only take one client at a time and that one of them is always home during the day. They had Rosco sleep in their room, and even let him hop up on their furniture and bed. They were able to administer a medication he was finishing up, and kept an eye on an issue Rosco was having with one of his paws. Because Rosco can have some separation anxiety, their daily updates and photos made it easy to see he was in good hands and was feeling at home and allowed us to enjoy our vacation. They were also very responsive to my questions before his stay. We will definitely rebook with Kaile and Scott when the need arises.
