Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Savannah! I am located in the Tatum Ranch area of Cave Creek and would love to help care for your four-legged loves! I am able to assist and care for your pets while you’re away, during the day, or just stop in to walk, run, go to the park, feed and assist in medication administration. I care for all shapes and sizes of dogs, and also with cats, birds, rodent friends and sometimes reptiles (just no spiders!). I have been caring for pets through Rover since 2018 and have several families that I have been caring for their pets for 3+ years.m while they travel. I do accept short notice bookings, so if you’re in a pinch on time please reach out! I also have a little network of pet sitting friends that can help with your furry loves if I am not available for any reason. A little about me: I have a lifetime of experience working with animals as I grew up on a ranch with animals large and small. I currently have 4 dogs, 3 cats. I started working specifically with household pets about 11 years ago and have 5 years of Rover experience. I am also very experienced working with pets that have separation anxiety, medical needs and special needs dogs. If you’re looking for someone to help care for your furry, feathery or scaley loved one while you’re away, let’s schedule a meet and greet before booking! This will help your pet(s) feel comfortable and relaxed when they see me come to their home. If you’re looking for puppy and cat care, I am happy to help!!

I prefer to have a meet and greet with your pets so they can become familiar with my smell and me entering their space while you’re home. If you are booking a walk or a hike with your pet, please disclose any information that might help me keep your pet and others safe. I will use standard safety precautions otherwise. This includes making sure there is enough space for me to come through an open door without your pet escaping, making sure your pet is properly leashed at all times when outside, and providing plenty of water for hydration during my stay. I will steer clear of other dogs and animals and ask that other owners do not socialize their pet with yours to ensure safety of all animals and humans. If I am taking your dog to a park, please let me know if any behavioral issues your dog may have. How do they interact with other dogs, do they fear other dogs, do they get upset by street objects like bikes or skateboards, etc. This helps me set up boundaries and have a clear mind when taking your dog into public.

I would like to know behavioral characteristics and if there any clothing or physical items that may make your animal timid (like hats, sunglasses, etc.)? Does your animal not like to be pet or touched on a certain part of their body? If your animal is exposed to another animal, what are their behavior tendencies (barking, run away, shaking, sniffing, playing, etc.)?
A typical day
We can walk your neighborhood or I can take your pup to a local dog park, or trails for extended walks! If we are at your home, I like to get on the ground and play at your dogs level with their toys to help them feel more connected and safe. Cats can be tricky. If they don’t come out to say hello after a bit I typically will not stay in your home for long. This allows the cats to come out and roam freely without feeling any stranger danger. Please let me know if any special instructions should you have any.

Availability
I do work full time, sometimes in an office away from my home, but for the most part I am remote. I do accept same day bookings, however it helps if I can plan in advance to schedule my meetings around travel and care time.
