I've worked in several clinics as a vet assistant and I enjoy working with all companion animals (my first pets were rats!). I have kept dogs, birds and various lizards as pets, starting from an early age. My first job was at Petco (Where the Pets Go!) but have primarily provided housesitting for owners going away on vacation, usually by word-of-mouth advertising. These jobs were primarily for cats and dogs, usually with specific medical needs. I have experience with animals found on the hobby farm and as well as caring for exotic pets. I feel comfortable administering medications, providing basic grooming services, and enjoy helping find new solutions for pet boredom. I have a lot of flexibility. I am looking to slowly expand my client base, finding good matches between myself and the pets I care for. If services are to be provided in your home, I would like to meet to discuss expectations and standards beforehand. I am happy to discuss any special requests! I have an open schedule but will be out of town October 23- November 5th, 2022. I aim to make myself available for regular clients who request repeat visits. I am happy to provide care according to your routine including crate training, positive reinforcement training and other tools for mental enrichment of your furry/scaly/feathered friends.
