I've had dogs all of my life- ranging from Shitzu's to Pitties! When I was in college, my fiancé & I would visit our local shelter to help the pups get some fresh air. We fell in love with our first rescue dog there, Amos, & ended up taking him home the next day! He had lived a pretty rough life prior to the shelter taking him in, & because of this, had a few fears/triggers we had to work through together. Building a foundation between us & him was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life that still carries its impact with me today. We ended up fostering another Pitty mix, Arlo, while we had Amos. Arlo had weight to gain & his own set of issues to work through. He was found emaciated and alone as a puppy. We helped rehabiliate him & eventually got him adopted by a family friend! When our Amos passed away from cancer, we went back to the shelter to ease some sadness. We ended up head over heels with our current pup, Jasper, who is a spunky Pitty-Boxer mix. Jasper is the light of our life & we do everything we can with him! Between him, Amos, & Arlo, I have had years of experience handling rescue dogs & the work they come with. I have also had plenty of experience with larger & energetic breeds and am willing/excited to take on whatever spectrum of energy your dog falls in!
