I'm an active, full-time stay at home mom and Kent State graduate. I have many years of experience caring for dogs, starting in my childhood when my family provided fostering and rehabilitation for rescued dogs. Over the years we housed dozens of dogs, and by the time I left home my family's permanent canine residents were purebreds, mutts, rescues, seniors, and special needs babies. Today my husband Josh and I have three dogs at home: a Papillon, a Boston Terrier, and an AmStaff, and all are good-natured neutered males. We also have one very old, dog-savvy Siamese cat. While at my home, your dog will have plenty of opportunities to play and access to a large, secure fenced yard. I only house dogs from one family at a time, so your pets are top priority and there are no surprises. All interactions between your dog and my dogs will be closely monitored, no guest dog will ever be left in the yard unsupervised, and no guest dog will ever be left unsupervised with my son. Safety for all parties involved is paramount in my house, and in recent years I've learned all I can about the subtle signs dogs use to communicate. I provide daily group or solo walks in our neighborhood as well as long games of fetch or tug and lots of cuddle time. I love hiking and other outdoor adventures when the weather permits, and if you'd like, your dog can tag along with me. Our dogs are treated as family and the same goes for any guest in my home! I'm happy to take on puppies, special needs, and seniors. My deal-breakers are dogs with any history of resource guarding or aggression (toward adults of either gender, children, other dogs, or cats).
