Pet care experience
I have always had dogs growing up and am used to dogs all sizes and ages. I love taking dogs on walks in our neighborhood right by the sandia mountains. My home is comfy and quiet, and my husband works from home, so your dog would get attention and care around the clock. We have always had dogs until just recently when our 17 year old chihuahua went to doggie heaven. We have two young kids, ages 3 & 5, who adore pets just like we do! I am great with communication and flexible to accommodate your needs. I am more than happy to send you photos of your dog while you're away, and will keep a close eye to make sure he/she is comfortable and having fun!

Saskia took excellent care of Quasar while we were away for 2 weeks. She sent pictures and even let us know that Quasar was running low on dog food and went the additional mile to buy more food during his stay. Highly recommended!!

I'd love to know about any food restrictions or allergies, medical conditions, what kind of temperament your dog has, feeding schedule, if treats are okay and what kind, and any other information that you think is useful for me to know. One of the most important things is that your dog is okay with young kids! If they are, we will be a great fit :)
A typical day
Generally during the week we will start the day with a nice morning walk and then make the dogs breakfast. We’ll have some play time either morning or afternoon (depending on heat and weather conditions) and then cuddle rest time, dinner and a nice neighborhood walk, with of course any bathroom breaks in our yard as needed. If your dog is staying with us on the weekend, we would love to take them on a trail by the sandias or the bosque if they’re up for a short drive! We love cuddling and belly rubs just as much as we love being outside and on adventures.
