Hello Pet Parents of NYC! Call me Sasha. I have been walking dogs all my life whether be it my own furry pal, a friends or neighbors, or for shelters. I am also a certified dog trainer. I have attend training sessions on how to better understand doggy body language and how to keep dogs mentally stimulated. I understand that it is very important to keep the majority of dog breeds active and engaged in different activities and games so to stray away from unwanted behaviors. I fully support force free positive reinforcement, that is rewarding good behavior and ignoring unwanted behavior, that way your dog will happily demonstrate good manners. Sashane is a wonderful dog trainer, first and foremost, because you can tell just how much she loves dogs. She is kind, gentle, and caring with each and every dog, from the more mild tempered to the non-stop barkers. She gives each individual and owner his or her own time and advice in a group setting and makes sure that she provides helpful tips depending on each dog's needs. She is always willing to listen to any questions, class related or otherwise, and has useful tricks to help each situation. She is patient and consistent in her training methods, which is key in successful dog training. Overall, she is an absolute sweetheart and a true dog lover, which makes her an ideal trainer. A typical day
As a pet sitter, I would do various fun activities with the pets I watch, depending on their personality, preferences, and needs. Some possible activities are: Playing fetch, tug-of-war, or chase with dogs Using toys, lasers, or feathers to stimulate cats Giving treats, cuddles, or massages to reward good behavior Teaching new tricks or commands to challenge their intelligence Taking them for walks, hikes, or trips to the park Providing socialization with other friendly pets or people Reading, singing, or talking to them to keep them company I think these activities would make the pets happy, healthy, and entertained while their owners are away. ?

Availability
As a stay at home pet care provider and dog trainer, pet care is an integral part of my daily routine. Here is how I typically spend my time: Morning: I wake up early and feed my own pets and the pets I am taking care of. I also give them fresh water and clean their bowls and litter boxes. I take the dogs for a walk around the neighborhood or to a nearby park. I also do some basic training exercises with them, such as sit, stay, come, and heel. I reward them with treats and praise for their good behavior. Afternoon: I check on the pets throughout the day and make sure they are comfortable and happy. I play with them using their favorite toys or games. I also provide them with some mental stimulation, such as puzzle toys, hide and seek, or agility courses. I groom them as needed, such as brushing their fur, trimming their nails, or cleaning their ears. I update the pet owners on how their pets are doing and send them some photos or videos. Evening: I feed the pets their dinner and give them some more water. I take the dogs for another walk and I do some more advanced training with them, such as teaching them new tricks or commands. I socialize them with other friendly pets or people, if possible. I give them some cuddles and massages to help them relax and sleep better. Night: I make sure the pets are settled in their own beds or crates. I also check that they have enough water and that the doors and windows are locked.
