Pet care experience

I love pets! Let's be honest, so do millions of other people! Right now, I can't have all of the animals I want. I wanted to put myself in a position where I could spend time with them outside of ownership. So now I can help you! Being your trusted pet sitter will be an honor--and it will be fun too! When I was a child, it was my dream to become a veterinarian. While I moved my scholastic focus to humans, animals still hold an incredibly special place in my heart. From volunteering full-time at a no-kill shelter or caring for friend's dogs, as well as my own, my love for animals hasn't wavered. I'm the go-to sitter for my friends and family, and I can't wait to meet you and your pet! Both you and your pet will love my dedication! Whether it's a tiny little teacup poodle or a grown great dane, horses, sheep, gerbils, and everything in between, all pets need love, attention, and exercise! Each animal is unique, and I provide customized care depending on their needs. Your furry or feathery family member will be safe, healthy and on their usual schedule when they're with me. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me! I'm excited to hear from you.

Sarah is very friendly and knowledgeable about dogs. We felt at ease leaving our dog with her while we were out of town for the weekend and her staying at our house. Our dog Ruby loved her. Hope to have Sarah back again!

Sarah was AMAZING. This was our first time leaving our little pack (3 dogs + 2 cats) with someone who isn't family, so we were a little nervous. Once we met Sarah, though, our anxiety went away! Her confidence and easy-going nature let us know she'd do a fantastic job—and she did! We loved getting updates during our time away, and she even left us a brilliant and clever "summary" note. We came back to happy animals and a clean home, and are so thankful for Sarah!

Sarah was great! She took excellent care of our cat and we got regular updates. Can't wait to hire Sarah again for our next vacation!

Sarah was phenomenal. I had the typical last-minute-regular-dog-sitter-out-of-town situation and she really came to the rescue. Sarah really put me at ease for the Rover process (I'd never had a stranger watch my dog/boarded her) and then went above and beyond to make sure my little one got the love and care she needed. Sarah was awesome and sent multiple updates per day and was always available if I had questions or comments. Sarah worked with my slightly odd schedule, thoroughly addressed some heat/weather concernes I had and when I arrived home I had a healthy and happy pup! I highly recommend Sarah and I'm sure I'll use her again in the future. (If you're on the fence: I, personally, considered boarding my dog at a local facility and I am so happy I didn't. For basically the same price I think my little one got 1000x the personalized attention and care.)

Safety, trust & environment

In every situation, the health and safety of the pet is the priority. I'm happy to do my best to continue whatever schedule they are used to and have no problem with spending time with them on a walk, or playing, or just being in the same room. All pet's needs are different, so I'm flexible.

Information Sarah W. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know about any special training needs or requests (ie. Saying "off", instead of "down") in order to maintain the integrity of any training the dog has had. I have no breed preferences. It is important to know of any special needs your dog may have. Or if they are on any medications or have allergies allergies. Keeping routine and order in the pet's lives while the parent is away is important to reduce the amount of stress experienced, so I'd love to know as much as possible about your dog's schedule.

A typical day

In my experience, dogs need to explore! Going on a walk has many health benefits and giving dogs the chance to "stop and smell the roses" is an important part of their cognitive health! Whether it's a leisurely walk, or a vigorous game of fetch, I am always seeking out new ways to challenge and exercise any pooch I am working with.
