Experienced and attentive

Pet care experience

I’ve had pets of all kind since I was a child. I grew up raising livestock and domestic animals. I have a B.S. in wildlife biology and have spent the last 7 years doing animal husbandry in my professional work including volunteer work at a wildlife rehabilitation center. I’ve also cared for my own pet dogs and fish. I currently have a two year old Rhodesian Ridgeback. I can do basic grooming (bath, brush teeth, ect.), provide exercise & enrichment, and administer medication.

Sarah took amazing care of my dog, Chloe. Chloe came home extremely happy and Sarah sent us lots of pictures and updates while we were away. We will definitely be using her again to watch Chloe. We highly recommend her!

Sarah was absolutely wonderful with our puppy. She has a dog-friendly home with a fenced yard and plenty of play space inside. Her dog is friendly and super patient with our rowdy puppy! I highly recommend her and plan to use her as our sitter in the future!

Safety, trust & environment

When the weather is nice we like to hangout in the backyard. We have a dog pool and toys the pups can play with. We also spend plenty of time inside snuggled up on the couch or playing with toys. My dog is very friendly and loves to play with others. We have plenty of enrichment toys and places for them to cuddle up and take a nap. The dogs are allowed everywhere in the house except for the bed and nursery. They’ll be taken out as needed. I typically take my dog out every two hours. If the weather is nice I leave the back door open so they can come in and out as they please. When left alone I can crate them or leave them in a gated room.

Information Sarah V. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know what your dogs experience is with babies and other dogs. My dog is high energy so knowing your dogs temperament and cues of when they are getting overwhelmed is helpful. I also like to know if they have any issues with using the bathroom inside the house so I can plan accordingly to prevent accidents.

A typical day

We have a large fenced in backyard the dogs can play in. My dog likes to play fetch and chase. We also have a dog pool with floating toys they can play in when the weather is warm. Inside we play with toys and practice our commands (sit, stay, find, ect.).
