Pet care experience
I've always owned and cared for dogs. I have a German/Mini Australian Shephard mix, Bud (6 years). I also have a 5 year old son, Ben, and a 3 year son, Nathan, so your pup must be good with children. Both of my kids are very gentle with animals. I separated the Navy in 2016 and my husband still serves so I know how some of you can leave at the drop of a hat. I can be pretty flexible with your schedule. Currently, I am a student and home a lot so your fur baby's stay will be comfortable with lots of attention. I have a fenced yard so they can stretch their legs and play. I also can administer oral medication whenever needed. I am really looking forward to meeting your pup!

Makana loves Sarah, her family and their dog, Bud. Bud was the first dog our pup ever met when she was just a little pup-he's responsible for teaching her how to play and chase him in their yard :) while watched our choc lab...so happy to find out Sarah's been back at the Rover thing. She treats our dog like one of her own, is great with communication and Im so thankful to feel great to leave her in her care. She'll give meds if needed...She's seriously the best rover sitter you'll ever find. Thankful!

I have a fenced yard and a friendly dog. We go for walks often or I can let your dog out and feed them at your house if needed. For cats, I can pop in your place to check in on him/her and feed them.

I don't have a breed preference however, it is very important they are good around children and of course other dogs. We can have the dogs meet ahead of time if you think it's necessary or we can just have them meet in the backyard right before drop off. I would also like to know of any special instructions regarding food (allergies, wet or dry, how much, etc.) and sleeping arrangements. I have one extra dog bed but you’re welcome to bring your own. I’ve had dogs that wanted to sleep under my bed, on their dog bed, and even on our living room couch. Where ever they feel safe and comfortable
A typical day
I know my dog loves to play fetch. We are always in the backyard playing given nice weather of course. My dog also enjoys going for walks often.

I’m off during the summer and currently a nursing student so only away a few times a week but between myself and husband your pup will still get lots of love and attention.
