- Sing (Chihuahua & West Highland White Terrier) 12 years, 6 months old in Seattle, WA
We have had Sing since she was a puppy - she's now 12 so we think we know her pretty well. She's a happy, friendly little dog who is happy to receive pats and cuddles from people. With her old age, she is content to sleep most of the day away, however, she still loves her daily walks. She prefers small dogs over large dogs - we think she's intimidated by the size of large dogs. Because of this, we stopped taking her to dog parks when she was younger. She just didn't enjoy the attention of larger dogs. She loves people and will often walk up to strangers with her tail wagging in the hopes of receiving a pat or two. She is a little pig when it comes to her dinner - scoffing it down in one breath. She will try to eat other dogs food if allowed. We either feed her in another room if we have another dog to feed, or we watch over her telling her 'no'. She can sometimes be a thirsty dog. She is allowed on the furniture at home, but we respect the wishes of her sitters. She understands when you tell her to get off the furniture. She likes exploring outside, but only tolerates the cold for so long. She is a cold dog and will try to burrow under blankets. She does not like the rain and tolerates a bath.
