*NOTICE as of February 2024* I will begin maternity leave around the end of May, therefore I cannot accept bookings for the summer. While I WILL still be accepting new clients these next few months, I'll also begin to slow down progressively throughout that time. WHO I AM: I am a former aquarist/zookeeper with many years of professional animal care experience. I earned my B.S. in Biology and Technical Writing in 2017 from the University of North Texas and completed a M.S. in Marine Science in 2021. My love for all things living and the environments they depend on, especially the ocean, are what keep my passions driving. At home we have an 11 year old chihuahua, 4 year old rescue cat, a red-eared slider, a freshwater tank, 2 guinea pigs and the occasional foster hamster. I also enjoy plant-keeping and have over 75+ indoor tropical plants! WHAT I DO: I provide optimal care for your pets! This includes feeding, dieting, medicating, training, bathing, and cleaning up anything....seriously...anything. As mentioned, I am a dog mommy as well and understand/relate to the importance and specificity of each individual dog’s requirements. I will care for all dogs, big or small, but I specialize in older canines with high anxiety, incontinence, and physical disabilities. Your puppy/kitty deserves to be treated with patience, kindness, and respect. You will love that I am careful and detailed when it comes to your animals, making sure that they are getting exactly what they need and reporting back any details. **DROP-INS AND WALKS** I have no restrictions on breeds/weight/age for these services. During our walks we focus on enrichment and exercise! **BOARDING AND DAY CARE** Boarding and daycare responsibilities are shared with my husband as he works from home full time. As well, when booked in advance I am able to schedule out-of-home visits accordingly! We have a large ~6,000 sqft yard that is regularly mowed. The house is also cleaned 1-2x a week to ensure cleanliness in between pups. As of right now we are only accepting small and medium breeds, preferably seniors! Please ensure all pets are pest-free, on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and are up-to-date on vaccines. **HOUSESITTING** As a gentle reminder, I do not offer 24/7 care. 🐶 Housesit Options: Option 1: “Quickie” Day Housesit ($30 for 1 dog, $20 for any additional dogs) This is a great option for short bookings! For this option I make 1-4 quick stops throughout the day to walk/let out and feed. I do not stay overnight. Option 2: “Extended” Day Housesit ($65 for 1 dog, $55 for any additional dogs) For this option I make 1-4 quick stops PLUS 2-4 hours of extra care during the day. These extra few hours may be split up or all at once. I do not stay overnight. Option 3: “Quickie” Night Housesit (60$ for 1 dog, $50 for any additional dogs) I stay overnight and provide 2 quick stops throughout the day. Option 4: “Extended” Night Housesit ($75 for 1 dog, $65 for any additional dogs) I stay overnight and provide 2 quick stops throughout the day PLUS 2-4 hours of extra care during the day.
