I am an occupational therapist with 10 years experience working in the field with a wide variety of individuals including those with traumatic/acquired brain injuries, short term rehabilitation, and the geriatric community. I have a special interest in pursuing animal assisted therapy with over 40 hours of continuing education that explores topics of animal behavior, facilitating use of dogs as a therapeutic modality, and the human/animal connection. I am highly motivated to expand my knowledge base and gain more experience to assist others in achieving their personal goals to live more independently and improve their overall quality of life. I also have experience volunteering at local animal shelters. I was a member of Running Dog Runners in Akron, Ohio and am currently a volunteer dog walker at the local SPCA. I am the proud mother of a Chihuahua/Brussels mix named Quasimodo. I am looking forward to meeting you and your fluffy family member to ensure a safe and enjoyable partnership.
