Pet care experience
Does your dog like a fast-paced walk or run, or a more leisurely stroll or perhaps just feeding, cuddling, or playing? Do you need a regular walker or perhaps a back up? Let's discuss your needs. I have experience with dog sitting small to large dogs, and have never met a dog that I didn't love. Responsible, reliable, and retired, I now have more time to do what I love. I will listen carefully to your instructions and expectations, and I am happy to provide personal references from Hilton Head pet owners -in addition to my on line reviews - upon request. I also will provide as many photos, videos, and texts as you desire while I'm walking or caring for your dog. Who you trust with your pets and with your home is important. Sara was amazing. We had to find someone to come in and take care of the babies at the last minute and Sara was very accommodating. She came by and met the dogs before hand. They love her. She came in. They loved her. She updated us every step of the way while she was on the visit, sending photos. Her communication was excellent highly recommend using Sara as a pet sitter worth every bit of the money that we spent for her and we will be using her again when we go out of town in the near future.

I booked Sarah to help with my dogs while visiting Hilton Head Island for a family vacation. All I can say is WOW! She exceeded my expectations in every way. She was in touch before, during, and after each visit. She sent great videos and photos of her walks with the dogs on the beach and around the villa. She is warm and loving and treated my dogs as if they were her own. I am so grateful to her. I'm just sorry she doesn't live in my home city because I'd keep her on speed dial. Take it from someone who is very picky about who I entrust with the care of my babies...Sarah is absolutely the best. Book her without hesitation. Your pets will thank you for it!

Before caring for or walking a dog, I would want to know about your pet's general behaviors - any issues with other dogs or people? What are the pet's likes/dislikes. Having owned 2 rescued dogs, I'm familiar with and comfortable with a variety of dog behavior, but I feel it's something important to know up front for the safety and protection of the dog.
A typical day
Trust is important. Trust with your home and with your beloved pets. I will provide as many references as you would like, and I will come to meet you and your pet at no cost to be sure that you are completely comfortable with me. I am totally flexible in terms of what level of activity your pet needs. I can take your dog to the beach, play fetch, run, walk or just cuddle!! I have walked more "challenging" dogs, I've walked 3 dogs at a time, and I've cared for a deaf lab, as well as senior dogs. My most recent job was in insurance, with 17 years at the same company. I'm from CT originally and now I'm walking dogs and enjoying life on HHI!
