My pets are a part of my family!

Pet care experience

I have had dogs all my life, they are apart of my family dynamic. I had a beloved dog, Buddy who was born blind. Throughout his life we faced many challenges with learning how to train a blind puppy but it has been a blessing to see what a pet with disabilities can accomplish. Gigi was my good old girl she played fetch tirelessly, loved belly rubs, barked with tenacity to protect her home and loved to swim. Gigi passed from cancer complications in early 2017, Buddy grieved everyday for her. In late Summer 2017 Buddy unexpectedly died from a brain aneurysm, our home became sad quiet and empty. That is when we decided to start pet sitting for others fur babies. Our hearts were not ready to accept a new fur baby but we were happy to sit fur babies. It helped us heal and gave pets a place to be doted on while their families were away. In late 2017 we brought our new fur baby Ace home. He is challenging us on how to live with a large breed dog in the puppy phase but he is so much fun. Ace enjoys other fur babies coming to visit so we decided to stay on board with Rover. We spend one day a week on what we call the Doggy Day. That means we take Ace with us to a patio breakfast, play at his favorite park/hike/beach then do dinner at a pet friendly spot. Of course we stop at Starbucks for a Pupichino at some point for him too. I work from home so interact with the dogs throughout the day and take them for walks when I am on a break from work. We feed any dogs who are food aggressive separate from the other dogs and make sure to remove any toys that the dogs show any signs of aggression over. We make a serious effort to make sure all the dogs get attention.

Very pleased with my pup’s experience boarding with Sarah and her family. It was his first time staying somewhere other than home and naturally I was very nervous. Sarah was very communicative and friendly throughout the whole process. We met twice before our leave date and I was sure she was a great fit. Her home felt cozy and welcoming & her pups were very friendly and playful, I could tell my river had a great time and was very well taken care of. 100% recommend Sarah, she is trustworthy and you will give you peace of mind your pup is safe and having a good time.

One of the best experiences we have had boarding our dog!! It is so hard to leave our dog but when he is cared for so well it makes it so much easier!

We left Zuki with Sarah for a day to see how Zuki will do at a new environment. We could tell that Zuki has a great time at Sarah’s and we will definitely want Sarah to dogsit again.
