Flat Rate: one dog or four!
Pet care experience
I thought it's unfair to charge multiple dog owners more just because they have more fur babies! So I now charge a FLAT RATE for up to four dogs! I ran my own dog sitting company for ten years when my daughter was younger. I have two dogs of my own: Pepper, a border collie corgi mix who is 7 and Skye, a poodle mix who is 5. Both are rescues, in fact Pepper was given up twice. Luckily, she found us! While I have pets of my own ( I do not bring them with me when I pet sit in your home) my wife watches them in my absence. We have also fostered dogs in the past through Lost Dog Animal Rescue. We also have two cats: Rosie and Domino, sister and brother age 6 and George, a turtle aged 10. It’s really important to me keep you posted on all the fun we are having so I take a lot of pictures and send them out. Communication is a big, big part of the excellent customer service that I offer!
Reviews
We've booked Sarah a few times to watch our two dogs and she takes such great care of them. We trust her with our furbabies and she always leaves the house in good shape. We also enjoy the daily updates with pictures. We always know they are in good hands with Sarah!
This was Sarah’s second time staying in our home. She does a great job of taking care of our 4 pets, 3 of which are energetic and require a lot of attention. We returned to a clean home and happy pets. Thanks again, Sarah!
We have had many Rover pet sitters in the past, but Sarah has been the most punctual, responsive, and responsible one we’ve ever had! She arrived on time to interview, our pets took to her immediately, and she took notes so that everything would run smoothly in our absence. She sent lots of photos and updates, and we came home to a clean house and happy pets. In particular, she took great care of our high energy (very mischievous) kitten, and our dog who asks for a lot of attention. Even our older shy cat warmed up to her! Thank you Sarah for making our time away from home better because we could relax knowing our home and pets were in good hands. We will be hiring again!
Sarah was a great dog sitter. She was very responsive and sent pics of the doggies! I would highly recommend Sarah for your dog sitting needs.

Information Sarah S. would like to know about your pet
I prefer to do meet and greets in the client’s home, and will usually bring a friend with me. I’ll approach the pup very gently and will not make direct eye contact until I can tell they are comfortable with me. If all parties agree that we are a good fit for each other, I’ll want to be filled in on all the specifics of your expectations for my stay, and of course, all of your dog’s needs.
A typical day
In the morning we’d get up and have breakfast. We’d also take a nice long walk upon arising where the dogs would go pee and poo. We'd go back home for a treat and we'd snuggle on the couch while I read for class. Then we'd take a break and have another walk! 50 smells a day and your dog will stay mentally and emotionally healthy and happy. We'd come back and play tug of war and perhaps check out a dog park later in the afternoon. If it's ok with mom and dad we'd snuggle and sleep the night away in bed. In the DC area we have really AMAZING dog parks and places to walk. I especially enjoy the 5 mile loop near my house at Burke Lake Park. There are great smells and wildlife (to observe, only please) if you like other dogs we can meet them as well!
