Home full-time, LOVE dogs!
Pet care experience
My whole family LOVES all dogs great and small (drool and all). We've had a St. Bernard, watched an elderly yellow lab, played with an energetic yorkie and malti-poo, fell in love with a shy Portuguese Podengo. We currently own a sweet female shih tzu/yorkie mix. My husband and I have two boys (10 and 7 yrs old) who love to snuggle, pet, and play with dogs- and will make your dog feel like a family member. Our house is near paved nature trails that dogs love to explore. I have experience taking care of dogs who need medicine and a little extra love. We have a big home that the dogs can roam freely in, and we let the dogs snuggle with us wherever we are! Someone is in the home most of the day, so dogs always have some love nearby! They can curl at my feet or hang out on the back porch with me if the weather is nice. I can walk dogs, dispense medicine, let them out regularly, and most other special requests.

Sara and her family did a fantastic job while me and my family went on a vacation! It was just as much a vacation for our dog as it was for us!
Sarah was amazing with our two high strung Aussies. She met me before our trip to make sure she and the dogs were a good match. It was like magic they loved her and she loved them. Our older dog has high anxiety issues and she was calm with Sarah like she was right at home. The dogs had a terrific stay and we will be back the next time we need to go away from home. Sarah is a fabulous dog sitter!! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter in the Burke area.
Sarah was wonderful and I would absolutely have her watch Cole again. Loved all the pictures and updates and I could definitely tell she loves dogs and treated mine like one of her own. Thank you for being so great :)

I do have young children and a dog in the home, so the dog must get along with other dogs and be good with children. I also need the dog to be house-trained. I will request a visit before the dog's stay to make sure they get along with my dog and will be good with kids.
A typical day
We can go on daily walks. My boys love snuggling and playing with dogs, they are super sweet and gentle with animals. I love taking pictures of furry guests and will keep you updated. My children will ask to give them treats - with your permission of course.
