I have grown up around dogs of all types. I have cared for dogs of my own for around 13+ years. I have experience owning and caring for dogs of all shapes and sizes (I've had a very athletic and large Husky-Border Collie mix, a very athletic and clever Border Collie, a fairly lazy happy-go-lucky and medium sized Boxer-Beagle mix, a moody Maltese-Toy Poodle mix, a very lazy Basset Hound, and a pretty nifty Red Bone coon dog). I currently own and care for a 3 month old long-haired Dachshund that loves people and has never met a dog she did not like. I work full time as an EMT, and spend most of my off time having a blast with my pup. Due to caring for my Border Collie up until she passed from cancer, I do have experience giving dogs medications and helping them around after surgeries and such. I am athletic, so if your dog loves to run I would be happy to get out and run around with them (my Husky mix used to run with me, or alongside me when I would bike). My apartment does have a small dog park area, so I can take he/she there for some quality time soaking up some rays. I also have experience brushing and bathing dogs, training dogs to do simple tricks, and working with dogs that sometimes have an attitude (my Maltepoo was a rescue from an abusive home and had some attitude issues the first couple of months after I got him). I love dogs of all types, sizes, and backgrounds.
