I have had dogs, cats, lizards, and fish all at some point but have always enjoyed having the dogs best. My husband and I currently have two dogs; a 2 year old boxer and a 3 year old lab/beagle mix. We have had both since they have been puppies and are well socialized. If it is ok with you they will be happy to keep your dog company on the walk or run at a park. We love all dogs and have never found one that we don't love. The boxer is high energy and the lab is high anxiety so we have the experience to be able to care for a dog with any personality. And everyone is spoiled
