The best pet auntie in town

Pet care experience

About Me I am a graduate of CSU, and I've loved dogs ever since I can remember. I grew up with at least one dog in the house at all times, sometimes two. I've also had a cat for all of my life, as well as a hedgehog for a while, and some fish here or there, so I know how to take care of multiple animals at once. I would love to give your furred or feathered friend (or scaled or spikey friend) a home away from home or a short break during the day so that you feel comfortable while you are away. Travelling is meant to be relaxing, and it should stay that way for you and your pooch. I make it my mission to make your pooch or pet feel as good as if you never left.

Home Care I take care of your home as if it was my own. Every client is different, so I make sure I know what your needs are, as well as the needs of your pets and your home, and try and keep it as routine as possible so when you get home, it's like I was never there (even though I was, and I'll send you lots of pictures while you're away, all of your furry friends 😊). Services include basic litter cleaning, taking out the trash, cleaning dishes and kitchen spaces I used, stripping the bed, watering any plants, and cleaning up little messes from the pets. Cleaning Please make sure you have your own personal cleaners in the home. I also have a spot bot and some cleaners on hand to supplement. It's not unusual for a pet to have a stress accident with a new sitter - and I'm prepared for the mess. If your pets have additional or consistent accidents (more than 3) or have issues like UTI, hemorrhoids, or inappropriate spraying/marking, or if there is excessive mud in your area that requires frequent cleaning, an additional cleaning fee may apply to compensate for the additional time. *Yard Cleanup Not Included, but Available for Additional Charges* Cleaning up yards or dog poop outside of normal walk cleanup is available at an additional charge. If dogs have access to a backyard, dog poop cleanup of those yards is not included, but can be added for an additional cost based on size and starting level of cleanliness and upkeep. Unfortunately I've had to adopt this policy due to misuse of my former policy.

Information Sarah R. would like to know about your pet

Before a Booking I do not have breed preferences. I do like to know the feeding and medication schedule, as well as other routines that the animals have. That way I can make sure they are walked and played with as they are used to and they get food when they expect it. Providing this in a written or printed sheet is perfect. Leaving an Information Sheet Please provide the contact for your regular vet and a 24-hour emergency vet of your preference, a written letter giving me permission to take your pets to the vet in case of emergency, the location of any security cameras for my privacy, where you would like me to sleep if it is an overnight, any amenities that I am allowed to use, the Wi-Fi login information, and any other routine or care instructions, especially medication instructions, you would like me to remember for each pet. I am also happy to take care of any plants you have, as long as they are reasonable in number, so feel free to leave watering instructions. Locations of cleaning supplies and toys, as well as care items like leashes or extra treats, is also very helpful. A Few Things to Check Before You Confirm For sittings, parking that is close in proximity, safe, and easily and quickly accessible is required. If a guest or paid pass is required, it must be provided prior to the booking. All Pets Must be Listed Please make sure all pets are added to the listing. If they need food, they must be listed - automatic feeders don't exempt a pet as I have to check if the auto feeders are working. If they need their areas cleaned, they need to be listed. Rates for Non-Felines and Fidos Caged animals like guinea pigs, gerbils, mice, birds, fish, etc, can be added for $5-10 an animal per night/per drop in depending on the species, just let me know and I'll add them. Rover requires every animal to be added to the sitting, regardless of care requirements Gas Charges for Outside of Fort Collins Clients I love being able to service clients outside of Fort Collins, but in order to do so and still be able to travel to and from, a small gas fee does apply. Please know that I am located in Southeast Fort Collins. Starting in August 2021, for clients outside Fort Collins, there will be an $10 gas fee per visit for drop-ins and a $35/first week + $20/additional week gas fee for housesitting, to cover transportation costs to and from home. This includes Johnstown, Windsor, Timnath, and Loveland, starting at E 57th St and anything east of I-25, as well as Wellington, LaPorte, and unincorporated Fort Collins north of Old Town via Cherry Street. Out-of-town sittings are not eligible for a lunchtime drop-in, as the commute to and from extends past my lunch break times. Please make sure your animals can be comfortable for a full work day without a bathroom break if booking a house sitting or drop in out of my regular radius. If outside my extended radius, such as Denver or any sitting that requires more than a 12-mile/30-minute one-way commute, a $50/week gas charge will apply and pets will be required to be able to make it through a workday without being let out or must have access to a dog door or temperature controlled outdoor environment. Thank you for understanding, I love my out-of-town clients but want to be upfront with the level of care I provide to these distant clients Tips for a Great Sitting Some good tips for before you leave: giving your animal a new toy before a sitting or a series of drop-ins guarantees their happiness for the sitting. Make sure their nails are clipped and they have been recently groomed for their happiness and my safety. Make sure all areas of the home that I am able to use are in working order, and clean, and all of the appliances are working, as this allows me to maximize time in the home. I'm happy to make a quick trip home if things are not in working order or sanitized, but this does take me away from your pets. For longer stays, it's helpful if you have an area for me to store groceries, and let me know what appliances I can use to cook with. Make sure that you have enzymatic animal cleaners on hand, and restock your favorite one if you have a preference. I also have cleaning supplies and a spot bot, so if you are okay with me using that, please let me know. Rates To reiterate, holiday rates will be in effect for all US major holidays and bank holidays. Holiday rates last for the entire stay, as per Rover Terms of Service, due to the fact sitters cannot celebrate the holiday with family until the booking is over. I appreciate your understanding! Extended stay rates are automatically included for any sitting over 7 days - this rate allows me to cover the extra supplies needed for extended periods away from home. Please know that all rates are final and discount codes are available through checkout or Rover - I cannot provide a discount on my end. If a rate looks like it's inaccurately calculated, please let me know so I can look into it or explain the charges - but I cannot adjust rates or give discounts. Constant Care Rates vs. Housesitting Constant care rates start at 20/hr for the first dog and 15/hr for the first cat, with the minimum length of a constant care request starting at 3 hours. I'm only available for constant care weeknights and weekends - I do not offer constant care between 9am and 5pm on weekdays. Constant care entails consistent care for an animal, no leaving unless for walks or animal related outings for your pet, for the entire duration. Thus, I try to keep my hourly rate similar to the going hiring rate for similar roles in Fort Collins, to keep up with cost of living. I find this to be a fair rate given my expertise and experience, and do not change this rate based on the care for higher or lower maintenance animals. Thank you for understanding and valuing my time, I appreciate that my clients respect and value my skills and my time. To book constant care, select house sitting, and select the start and end date to be the same day - then select the times for constant care and alert me in your message you're needing constant care - I will adjust the rates accordingly. House-sitting rates may often appear lower than constant care rates, as house-sitting allows up to 12 hours of waking time away from a pet, thus requiring less sitting time, where constant care requires consistent care throughout the allotted time - thus the price differential. Cancellations For walks and drop-ins, any cancellation 72 hours before the scheduled day is a 100% refund, within the 72-hour period prior to a booking a 50% refund is available, and there is no refund available after the appointment starts. For sittings, cancellations for a 100% refund are available prior to 7 days before the arrival time of the booking. 7 days to 24 hours before the booking, any cancellations result in a 50% refund processed through Rover. Any cancellations after the booking have started will result in no refund. Any petsittings that end early due to cut short travel or changed plans cannot be refunded for the remaining days, and will still be charged the remaining days. These policies are detailed in the Rover Terms of Service that all owners agree to, and cannot be adjusted on my end. I appreciate your understanding! Additional Charges I do have several services available at additional charges. Please check back as I will update this list shortly.

Schedule I currently work during the day but have the option to be remote two days a week so I can be flexible with your and your furry friends' schedules. I may need to attend some meetings in person, as well as be in person most of the day from Tuesday - Thursday. I will also need to stop by and check on my own kitties during the day. My traditional pet sitting hours are between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., anything outside of that could be available but will have a $30 extended hour fee - This only applies to house sitting if your beginning/end times fall outside my active hours, not during the stay, and drop ins, constant care sittings and walks that partially or fully fall outside my active hours. Housesitting Schedule For housesitting, the traditional arrangement is the overnight in your house and one to two drop ins during the day - a lunchtime drop-in for central Fort Collins only and a late afternoon/early evening drop in for all clients regardless of location - therefore, pups will need to be independent for 6-8 hours throughout the day (depending on client needs and location) between the drop ins and settling in for bed. Traditionally they will be fed before I leave in the morning, at the lunch drop in where needed for pets on a three-a-day schedule (only available if located in Central Fort Collins), and at the early evening drop in, and I can be flexible around medication schedules. Some evenings I will have events, such as a late work meeting, date night with my partner, or dinner out with a friend, but I try to keep them to a few days a week when I am sitting. For a period in the evening I will stop by my home to restock supplies or change out clothes, grab dinner, feed my own kitties, run errands or attend to work tasks. House sitting also includes two twenty minutes walks for leash trained pets, weather and air quality permitting - high energy clients can book additional walks as needed. Dogs without yards will also get short potty breaks on leash. Please make sure pups have indoor entertainment and play options I can use in the case weather or air quality prohibits outside play. Rover allows up to 12 hours a day during sitting away from the home, to follow employment laws (unless paying for the constant care charge - listed in the Rates category). If I don't need that full-time away, I am happy to spend more time in the house and work from there, but this is the traditional suggested time Rover sets for overnight services. *If you are outside the urban areas of Fort Collins, I am not be able to provide lunch drop-ins on days I'm working in person due to driving time. See the additional information section below for more about out-of-Fort Collins bookings and gas charge information* I'm also willing to spend more time during the day with guests that prefer me to stay at my own place overnight, as this is not an uncommon preference for those with smaller apartments or no guest room. Due to health reasons, I cannot use a couch in replacement of a bed, so please make sure a bed is available. Please let me know your preferences and I can be flexible. HOLIDAYS Please understand that I do not work most major US holidays, as my family is not in town so I travel to see them. On holidays where I am home, a holiday rate applies and is non-negotiable. How Rover Determines Extended Stay Charges for Housesittings Please note that house sitting is a 24-hour scheduled service (although not constant care for that 24 hours), so if you want me to come on the first day at noon, I am booked with you through noon on the last day, as an example. If you book the first day at noon and schedule to come back the final day at 4pm, Rover will charge an additional half day rate for any additional time between 2 and 8 hours. If it's 8 or more hours (in this example, arriving 8pm or later) they will charge an additional day rate. Please make sure you put accurate times in - these times also dictate when I can enter and when I must leave, as well as the Rover Gurantee coverage. If you need care outside these hours after booking, a booking modification will need to be made and accepted on both the sitter and owner side, or additional drop ins must be scheduled and accepted.
