I stop in my tracks to say hi to a dog and give them a good pet (with owners' permission, of course). I've had dogs in my life since I was 8, when my parents adopted a golden retriever. Since then, my family has had a beagle and a shih tzu, so I have experience with all types of dogs, ages and energy levels. I also have two rescue dogs -- a pittie/boxer mixe mix and a cattle dog -- so I have experience with multiple-dog households too! I occasionally foster senior dogs with City of Elderly Love, so I'm familiar with older and calmer fur babies too. Before that, I volunteered at the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) -- where my pittie was rescued -- as a dog walker.
