I absolutely LOVE dogs but would feel irresponsible getting my own because I also love to travel. I have 20+ years experience with friends' and family's dogs - golden retrievers (Sam, who loved her walks, and Moonshine, who loved her squeeze-toy friends), puggles (Giles, the cuddler, and Riley, the mischievous one), and a sweet but needy pound puppy (Lorna). I was a Rover Sitter when I lived in Brooklyn, before moving back to Steamboat. My favorite Rover dog buddy was Disco (see pics), the 11 year old boxer with more personality than most humans! I understand your dog has his/her own personality, that s/he is part of your family, and will care for them as such.
