I have been doing life with my rescue dog for over seven years now. He has grown from a sickly, unruly, and destructive 10 month old pup into a handsome, strong, affectionate dog. It hasn't always been easy, but it is profoundly worth it. I have no words for how much I love him. I've always loved animals and had a way with them. I grew up the daughter of a vet, and often visited the vet hospital or went on farm calls with my father. I know how to interact with all types and sizes of animals, dogs and cats especially. My energy level is high - I am a marathoner - and I have learned through experience that there is nothing more rewarding and satisfying than exhausting a dog. It's good for them, it's good for me, and it's great for you! I'm willing to walk high-energy dogs for longer than half an hour, if that is of interest to you. My own dog and I can handle 28 mountainous trail miles in a single day, so you'd be hard pressed to ask for more than I am able to deliver, but I am also respectful of each individual dog's limits, and know when not to push them. I work an early job with varied hours, so typically am available every afternoon and at least a couple of mornings a week. I'd love to get to know your dog and help you both live happier, healthier lives. Dog boarding may be an option on a limited basis if I get to know your dog and confirm that they will get along with my own.
