emergency vet assistant

Pet care experience

Hi I'm Sarah and I’m new to rover!! I worked at a veterinary practice in California for 6 years. Since moving to Washington, I have been working at an emergency veterinary hospital. I just recently graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara with a bachelors in geography and a minor in philosophy. I plan on taking veterinary technician classes with hopes of becoming a licensed veterinary technician.

I believe there are few people that love animals as much as Sarah does. With all her experience from working at a veterinary hospital she is more than capable to take care of more dogs. She will not only take care of your dogs, but make them feel happy and comfortable.

Information Sarah P. would like to know about your pet

I believe it is important for me to become familiar with your pet’s medical history, and to know about any medications your pet might be on. It is also important for me to know a bit about their diet, any physical restrictions or notable behaviors, and how well they interact with other pets. I would also like to keep in mind who their DVM is, and where the nearest emergency hospital is located.

A typical day

I enjoy going on both runs and walks around the neighborhood, in parks, and around lakes. I’m still a little new to the area so we can explore together.

Because I move around a lot, I do not have any pets of my own at the moment. However, my housemate has a puppy, Rory, who I absolutely adore. I take care of her most days while my housemate is at work. When I’m not caring for Rory, I am working night shifts caring for ill and injured cats and dogs.
