I've had a dog ever since I was born and ~my~ first dog when I was 6 years old. I constantly care for my mother's dog when she is unavailable or out of town and all my friends know to call me when they're leaving town because I can't say no. I love taking my dog (8 year old Australian Shepard/German Shepard mix) on many walks and to the pet store to shop for bones. I live walking distance from the river and take my pup there to splash around. I also have experience caring for senior dogs with hip dysplasia (had a Golden live to age 15). Dogs tend to obey me because I am firm when speaking to them but I never condone hitting an animal unless it's an emergency situation.
