I have grown up with dogs and been training and socializing them since I was 9. I have raised 5 Guide Dogs for the Blind and volunteered at the Oregon Humane Society for 8 years. I also worked in the kennels department for a year and a half. During my time working there I handled challenging dogs, medicated, vaccinated, screened and help show dogs to potential adopters. I've had extensive training working with under socialized dogs as well as reactive dogs. I have also fostered many dogs and have 3 of my own dogs that were foster failures. I have dog sat for many families over the years, some with up to 3 dogs. I am a total animal lover but I also know the value of being consistent with dogs, I don't let them run the house. I always follow owners requests and am happy to offer suggestions if desired. I'm firm but fair in my discipline and will remove the challenges when a dog can't make good choices. I have dog toys galore and a great big fenced yard for dogs to run in. I also owned and managed a horse boarding facility. We had 30+ horses onsite that I cared for including feeding, watering, medicating, cleaning, vet care. Our boarders trusted me to keep their horses safe and well cared for. I would do whatever necessary to do so.
