Pet care experience
I have cared for animals all my life and I love it! I have been a dog mother for over ten years. I have trained four dogs over the years and believe in positive reinforcement and creating a happy and safe environment. I live with my boyfriend Peter who has raised two puppies and shares my passion for animals. We have a large and secure fenced in yard that is great for running around in. We do three or four walks a day depending on the dogs ability and live within ten minutes of Purgatory Park, where we walk a few miles each visit. I am experienced with a variety of personalities, sizes, breeds and temperaments. I have worked with dogs who have anxiety, from separation or in general. I offer boarding to one dog at a time in order to ensure your dogs safety and comfort. There are no dog fights or spreading of illnesses that can result from multiple dogs staying under one roof. I abide by your training rules to keep consistency. Unless you specify otherwise I do not kennel dogs. I don't leave the dogs at home for more than two hours at a time. I have experience with emergency vet situations from cancer, old age and illness. I am very observant and know what signs to watch for. I have dog beds, chew toys and lots of energy to keep up with your pet! I believe in transparency and open communication with you so you can have peace of mind while you are away.

I was referred to Rover.com by a friend who usually watches my dog while I was away. I desired a caregiver who could watch my dog in their home for 9 nights as we had a family vacation planned. I stumbled randomly across the profile of Sarah M and there were a few testimonials and what appeared to be pictures of her yard that I thought would be nice for my 65 pound 3 year old lab mix. Her fee also seemed reasonable so I booked in June and we set up a time to meet and introduce my dog to her dog at a park near my house. That went well and the booking was accepted. Stay was July 12-21. When I dropped off my dog on July 12, Sarah was there with her dog and I stayed around for about 15 minutes to acclimate my dog. Everything was great so I left. Sarah provided pictures and updates pretty much every day while we were gone. We all enjoyed seeing the pictures of our dog playing and having fun while we were gone. When I arrived to pick up my dog on July 21, everything was smooth and orderly. The level of service provided by Sarah was truly extraordinary and I would definitely recommend her for anyone. I know that if we find ourselves in need of care in the future, this will be our first inquiry.
Great communication and care. Denali loved her visit and clearly had a good time. No question I will call on Sarah next time I need a sitter.
Sarah was awesome and Portia had such a fun day!!! She got to go to the park, went on a few walks, and played with another pup. She’s currently PTFO because she had so much fun! I will definitely be calling Sarah again (Portia already asked for another play date)!
Since the beginning of time, Sarah has always been a loving individual toward animals. She is a caring and responsible advocate toward any pet. She has always been attentive and receptive toward her beloved Mya and all of her other pets. She has a broad array of experience with different types of animals including dogs, cats, snakes, turtles, bunnies, horses, mice, hamsters, and last but not least; fish. I live near Purgatory Park and love taking dogs there! It is a wonderful park for dogs to explore smells and burn off some energy. We go on three to four walks a day depending on your dogs ability. With a large fenced in yard, there is plenty of place to play catch and run around off leash in a safe area.
