Hey y'all. I grew up with an overgrown Labrador, and have been the sole caretaker of my hound-mix-mutt, Merlin, for two+ years. My boyfriend's puppy Ruby is here too, and the pair make for great playmates. We'd love to keep your pup company while you're away. We have a large fenced-in backyard and, while we're home, the dogs have full access via a doggy door. We love to take walks to the river and visit the dog park. Merlin was crate trained for his first year or so, and he now roams free in my house. Ruby still uses a crate. I have many options for blocking off the house and am comfortable using a crate, or letting your dog have some access to the house while I'm away depending on his or her level of independence. I work 8-5 weekdays nearby, but visit the dogs during lunch. Please no small dogs that may be able to fit between posts and no escape artists. I'm flexible and open to accommodating a variety of needs, but also reserve the right to refuse a booking if we're not a good fit. We are also hesitant to take a dog for a whole week before trying a few nights. Please try to request and one or two night stay with us before asking for a whole week. We want to ensure that we are the best fit for each other.
