Pet care experience
My family has had pets (mainly cats) since I’ve been a baby, and I’ve personally raised multiple litters from birth to senior age. I also have had multiple dogs in my lifetime (a rat terrier, a dachshund/lhasa apso mix, and a border collie/golden retriever mix), am really comfortable with *all* breeds (including boxers, pitties and rotties!) and can look after any dog between 1 and 100 lbs :) also, I can handle any dogs that may not have been fully potty trained or house trained; just give me a head’s up! 😊 I work a flexible schedule (literally — I can CHOOSE my hours that I work), so any times you want your baby to be cared for that you specify I can accommodate. I also have a fully fenced yard that has lots of grass and multiple trees for your furry friend to explore, and I live right next to a large park so any walks can be had there! I live in Riverwest as well, which has a decently sized dog park about 5 minutes from my house :) I also have a locked front door behind another locked door in *front* of the front door, and similarly for the back door, so security is tight here. Usually when I’m in your home, I’ll conform to how you care for your pets. If you let your baby up on the couch, give them treats, let them outside every two hours, etc., so will I 😊 Also, if you’re comfortable with it, I’m totally on board with doing light housework and cleaning for you while you’re away. I’m certified by The Red Cross in Dog CPR and First Aid, so in the event of an emergency you can trust that I will do everything I can for them, and then some.

I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMENDED NOT HIRING SARAH. READ MY STORY BELOW FOR MORE DETAILS! I hired Sarah to Rover both of our dogs from a few days while we were on vacation. I had met with her about a month before for a meet and greet. She agreed to the service at that time. I reached out to her two days prior to the service to confirm that she would be still be taking care of my dogs while I was out of town. She did not respond for 10 hours on the Rover app but stated she had a busy day but was still in agreement to watch them in our house during our vacation. I gave her specific instructions for taking care of my dogs. I told her what time our flight left and that I expected her to be at home house in the early to mid-morning to let the dogs outside and out of their crates. I messaged her several times throughout that morning with no response. I also sent her a text to see if I could get a response that way. It was radio silence. Around mid-afternoon, received a message from her via Rover stating that she had to work longer than expected and was heading over now, this was about 5 hours after her expected arrival. Once she arrived, she stayed for about an hour with the dogs while my house keeper was there. My housekeeper reported that she had to go pick up her boyfriend but she said she would be back in time to feed the dogs dinner. I messaged her yet again stating that I specifically said when leaving the house, you must crate the dogs, as she did not and my housekeeper had to do it. She also never responded. Two hours later now dinner time, I messaged her again without a response asking if she was even coming back. At this point, I ask a family member to come attend to my dogs and cancelled the Rover. I would highly recommend not hiring her. She is super unreliable and will not cause you nothing but anxiety while your on your trip.

A typical day
When I watch your pet, I’ll first ask you what their energy level is like. Depending on that, we could have a fun-filled day starting in my yard and ending up either at Lake Michigan or the dog park in my neighborhood, or we could have a relaxing day of indoor attention, yard/play breaks, and plenty of belly rubs and cuddles :)
