Pet care experience
I work most days from our spacious home and I would love to have the company of a dog!! My husband works from home 100 percent of the time and is actively involved with caring for any visiting pup too. Your dog would be part of the family and would have plenty of walks and outside play time including a long midday walk through the trails in the woods that adjoin our three acre property. Lots of interactive play time in our fenced in yard too. Frequent shorter walks throughout the work day and longer walks in the morning, at midday and after the work day. We love all dogs and provide TLC, a calm environment, and special attention. We had a blind dog so are very familiar with caring for blind dogs. We are experienced at giving insulin shots and testing glucose levels and can do this for your dog, as well as administer other medications under your specifications. Plenty of toys and soft dog beds are in our home. My goal is to make your dog feel happy, loved and secure while with us. We are very interested in your dog’s wellbeing and in making you feel confident and at peace with trusting us with your dogs. I will provide frequent updates, photos, and videos. We have a one level home so dogs don’t need to do stairs. I will only watch one dog or two dogs from the same family at a time so I can devote a lot of individualized attention to your pup. We have a Australian cattle dog (born May 2021) who enjoys being with other dogs and has a very energetic play style - he’s a puppy. We have two senior cats so dogs must be known to be nonreactive with cats. If your dog has not been exposed to cats before, it is likely that the interaction with the cats will not be peaceful and it will not be a good fit for either party. If your dog has had exposure to cats and has not chased or intimidated the cat, we will need to do a cat test. If your dog has no cat experience or if they have chased a cat, we would appreciate if you would not ask for a cat test with our cats. I look forward to meeting you and your dog and to providing loving and careful care for your furry family member.
Reviews
This was Cricket’s second stay with Sarah and first stay with their new pup Dillon! Cricket went on many walks and had a great time! Sarah sent us many pictures and videos and kept us up to date regularly on all of Cricket’s adventures. Cannot recommend Sarah enough!
Sarah was the best pet sitter we have ever had, hands down! Our dog, Cricket, could not have had a better stay. We have not had to use a dog sitter in a while and were worried about leaving Cricket for such an extended period of time (11 days for our wedding/honeymoon), but Sarah kept us up to date and included lots of pictures - we had such peace of mind while we were away and were able to fully enjoy our trip! Cricket can be anxious in new places, but Sarah made her feel right at home. She took Cricket on hikes and adventurers and gave Cricket tons of snuggles and playtime. Cricket also eats The Farmer's Dog, which is a little more high-maintenance than regular kibble, but Sarah had no problem adjusting. 10/10 would recommend Sarah for others, and we cannot wait to use Sarah's services again in the future!
Our dog had a wonderful time over the Christmas holiday with Sarah and her family. Their home and fenced yard/wooded surroundings are perfect for a dog ... ours was in heaven with frequent walks and playtime in the yard, plus endless love and attention inside with the family. Sarah was very conscientious about communicating twice a day and sending multiple videos and photos each time. Our dog decided she wasn’t interested in eating (so excited about the new place and new people) and Sarah went to extreme measures trying to encourage her ... trying the addition of cheese, broth and more after consulting with us for permission. We appreciated her care and concern, and overall couldn’t have asked for a better pet-sitting experience. Our dog was loved by a family, had wonderful care and a fabulous time - we are very grateful and recommend Sarah highly. We look forward to booking her again!
Our dog had the greatest time here! Sarah took amazing care of our pup and made us feel as we had never left home. We were so happy with this experience and look forward to our next trip. Thanks, Sarah!

We have a large fenced yard where we can play with dogs off leash. We take walks on a leash on our property, in the neighborhood, and on the county trails adjoining our property where we walk at lunch, after work and on the weekends. With your permission, we may take your dog to a local park for a walk. Your dog’s happiness and safety are our paramount concerns. I will be in daily contact to make sure you are okay with your dog’s activities and am always available for questions.

Information Sarah H. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know about your dog. We are very interested in hearing about your dog’s needs. As mentioned, we have two senior cats. If your dog has interacted with cats before more than once and has been shown to peacefully interact with or ignore cats, we need to have a meet and greet in advance to see how the interaction goes. If your dog has no cat experience or has chased a cat, we are not the right fit and we will not do a cat test. All pets’ safety and well-being is very important. We also have a young Australian cattle dog who likes playing with other dogs and is very interactive and physical with dogs. If your dog prefers to be left alone and not interact with another dog, our home is not the right match. Thank you for your consideration of this matter and for evaluating your dog’s prior observed experience with cats and dogs before requesting a meet and greet and a cat/dog test. We want the best for all pets.
A typical day
We will do many fun activities such as running and playing with balls in our fenced in yard. There is a large woods adjoining our property that we take a 30 minute walk in every day at lunch that we will bring your pup on. If inclement weather, we have many dog toys and puzzles for inside play if the walks outside are abbreviated. Your dog is more than welcome to join us in our favorite reading chairs or to lounge on a sofa with us while watching tv. Your dog will be with us while preparing meals, eating, etc. With your advance approval, your dog could join us on trips to eat at outdoor cafes , hikes at local parks and car rides. Your dog would only be left alone on weekends for an hour or two if we need to run errands. Otherwise, we are home during the work week and most hours of the weekend and your dog will never be segregated from our family, and will be given love and attention.

We work from home from approximately 7-4 so we have the freedom to interact with pets on a frequent basis. Even when we are working, we have dog beds next to us and always make time for quick head scratches. After 4pm, we spend a lot of time outside with dogs. I work from home typically three out of five days and my husband works 100% at home.
