Pet care experience
Hi! We’re 30-something life long dog lovers and owners. We have extensive experience with both small and large dogs as well as having considerable experience with puppies, senior puppers, and dogs requiring medical care! We know what it feels like to worry about your doggo when it comes time to make travel plans or if you need someone to watch your pup during the day- we would love to take away your stress on that front. We'll go on long walks, runs, or jaunts to the Althea Tanner dog park/Congressional Cemetery (whatever is their thing!). We’ll send daily updates and pictures, and you can fully enjoy your time apart knowing all is well on the home front. Happy to host your furry friend at my place while you travel! We have a 1 year old golden retriever, Fitz (in profile photo) who has never met a stranger and is incredibly friendly and social. He loves all dogs and ppl, and would love a furry friend to hang with while you travel or work.

Sarah was amazing with my puppy Nellie. She sent frequent updates and I had no concerns at all while I was away. Nellie unfortunately had an accident in her crate over the night, and Sarah was so gracious about it - she is THE BEST!!!!

Sarah and Brian were awesome w my slightly shy pup, AWoo, on short notice for a day trip I took. They arranged a quick meet and greet so I knew she would be comfortable and sent several photos over the course of the day while I was away. AWoo seemed very happy with them and their fun-loving pup Fitz. Would definitely have them take care of my girl again!

We have a large, three bedroom apt, with plenty of space for everyone. We’re steps away from the Metropolitan Branch Trail and Alethia Tanner Park, and also have a dog run on the roof of our building. So many options to choose from when it comes to adventure and exercise!

Any allergies or medical conditions? We want to keep your pupper safe. Let us know if there are foods (etc) we should avoid! Level of training? In instances like visits to Congressional Cemetery or a dog park where fencing allows dogs to go off leash- is that something that your doggo can do? Or is he happier/safer on-leash at all times? Aggression towards other dogs? Does pupper enjoy the company of other doggos? Or do they prefer to hang one-on-one with humans, and less with other furry friends? Is your pupper crated or free roaming? If they’re staying with us and we need to run out to the store, etc, do they do okay? And do they need to be crated/penned?
A typical day
We can go as close or as far as your pupper enjoys. Neighborhood walks or runs, playtime at the dog park or Congressional Cemetery, hikes, or easy peasy lazy afternoons- whatever your doggos favorite routine is

Availability
Typically only accept boarders on weekends where we are completely free to hang with them fully (if you need longer support reach out and we’ll see what we can do)! When they come for the day to visit, they’ll have free roam of the apartment and will be able to play with Fitz and us!
