Pet care experience
I've spent my whole life caring for family dogs and cats, along with the dogs and horses at a barn I used to ride and work at. I have a bunny of my own who I have lovingly catered to for 4 years, and have experience puppy sitting for friends and roommates whose pets have specific training and care requirements.

I am very respectful of any house rules and guidelines when caring for your pet. I am happy to work on training and walking manners per your preferred word/hand cues, or I can just focus on providing safe supervised play and company. On walks I am always very careful to keep your pet away from other animals we may encounter and I have experience walking dogs who have to be kept away from specific stressors (i.e. small children, bikes and scooters, lawn mowers, etc).

Please let me know if your pet has any fears or aggression triggers (i.e. bikes, small children) or any other behavioral issues (i.e. tries run out the door, leash pulling, chasing animals). It is also helpful to know any places your pet may not like to be touched, or if they have any sore or sensitive spots to avoid. Other things that will help me give your pet a good experience are knowing their favourite toys and games, favourite places to be pet, and any other of the things that make them happiest!
A typical day
During a drop-in visit I will give your pet(s) lots of active playtime and attention. I will also happily take them out to the backyard if you'd like for some fresh air, if there's yard space available. Before I leave I will ensure your pet is calmed down so they can patiently wait for their family to come home! On walks, I will make sure your dog is able to check out all the new and interesting smells in their neighborhood while maintaining good walking manners. I'll try to mix up the route to keep things interesting, but keep it close to home so they know all about what's going on in their neighbourhood.

I am working fulltime from home, so my hours are flexible but somewhat limited. I will enjoy the time caring for your pet as much as they do since it will provide a fun break away from my laptop!
