Last minute plans? I'm flexible!

Pet care experience

I've always had a dog growing up, even through college. Dog sit routinely for my friends and family and thought I could help more people in the neighborhood! I love walks, spoiling them with fun toys/treats, and making sure they are comfortable at all times physically and emotionally. I've had pit bulls, mixed breeds large and small, etc and I occasionally volunteer at the local animal rescue, including fostering. I'm knowledgeable of the local vet clinics and their specialties. I'm very familiar with dog behavior and the signs of aggression, anxiety, fear, etc. to make sure all doggies are safe at all times. I'm a recent "Foster Failure" & have adopted my foster dog displaced from the Denham Springs Animal Shelter which was recently flooded. While I have Kenya in my apt and getting her happy & healthy, I'm limiting my Rover services to drop-ins and walks only. Thx! UPDATE- I'm currently pregnant & due early April so I may have to step back on my services for a bit :(. Tough enough walking my own dog enough some days. But feel free to message me as it's really day to day. & miss the pups ?

Sarah is AMAZING!!!! She's professional, communicative, and makes me feel like my boy is getting plenty of love while I'm away.

My Luna is my baby (a rambunctious, 80 lbs black lab baby that is!), so choosing someone to care for her is something I don't take lightly. Sarah's love for dogs is unparalleled, she allows me to feel completely at ease leaving Luna in her care. She has gone out of her way to provide last minute visits when I've been in a bind and there's no one else I'd leave my baby with while I'm out of town. She always makes sure to send me daily updates, pictures, and even videos of Luna while I'm away, just one of the many ways she goes above and beyond. A big thank you to Sarah, I would highly recommend her!

Information Sarah H. would like to know about your pet

Just let me know anything off-limits for your doggie as well as any medical conditions and things/ideas that make them happy! :) Reminder: The default time for both drop-in visits and walks is 30 minutes on Rover. Personally this seems a bit short to really give some pups the attention they need but I can do a lot in 30 minutes! :) Let me know if you'd like more time added on (i.e. 30 min, 1 hr, 1.5 hrs.) and I'd be happy to discuss a reasonable rate with you! For last minute requests (~4 hours or less), there may be a $2-$3 up-charge for walks or drop-ins. Thanks!

A typical day

Belly rubs! Love walking all around the neighborhood & Audubon Park/Zoo/City Park area. I like playing games and exercising with them based on their energy level. I love going to Petco for tons of toys & healthy treaties. We all know how stressful it can be when you have to work late and all you can think about is getting home to let the dog out! I work from home part-time and do odd jobs :) which allows me to help out when last minute plans come up! It also allows me to spend much more time with them w/o feeling rushed. My long term goal on Rover is to develop a client base of awesome repeat clients. I'm not necessarily looking to cram in as many bookings as I can just for the cash. Quality over quantity :). The extra attention to our dogs and my flexible schedule is something I think clients find extremely valuable! Although my uptown apartment does not have a yard, I actually end up exercising and going for walks more frequently than if I had a yard. Neighborhood is great for walks with Audubon and a dog run within a few blocks. All my dogs love looking out the front window and "people" watching for hours.
