Pet care experience
I relocated at the beginning of February 2020 from North Carolina in order to more easily pursue a career in editing. In the wake of the pandemic, I've spent the last few years also indulging my other passion: animals! I have lived around dogs and cats all my life, and have worked as a paid pet-sitter since I was twelve years old. I have lots of experience with a wide variety of pets, much of which I credit to my two years working in the intake department of the North Carolina Humane Society. I'm comfortable with all sizes and temperaments of animals. I have two rescue FiV+ cats of my own and one rescue German Shepherd. They have been the light of my life! I have decades of experience handling all temperaments of animals. I worked in an animal shelter with the widest array of behaviors you could imagine, so I feel prepared and confident in most situations involving flighty, fractious, or un-trusting animals. I always err on the side of caution on my walks: your pups and I will cross the street to avoid any other dog encounters (unless we are in a multi-dog environment such as a dog park, of course). I additionally do not allow any strangers to interact with your animals on these walks, simply out of an abundance of safety concern.

I have no breed preferences, although I would prefer to meet with you and your animals before we begin working together to ensure we are a good fit! I do not charge for meet and greet appointments within 15 miles of my home.
A typical day
I have a dog-friendly SUV so if your pup loves car rides, I'm happy to bring them along for trips to the dog park or just to cruise! I love to explore new trails (and my dog would too, if your pup gets along with other dogs!).

Availability
I work full time, 5 days a week, very early. I am therefore available on a limited basis. Typically, I am available every day from 1:30pm-7:30pm, but please reach out for more information as my schedule changes weekly.
