Pet care experience
After 3 years of walking pups in the nation's capital, I'm returning to State College once again for grad school. As a dog lover with some free time to spare, I love being able to use it by bonding with pups! I have experience with dogs of all sizes, cats, & birds - and I particularly like goldens, labs and hounds, though I welcome any animal (especially cuddly ones!). Every pet is different, but in general, here's what you can expect from me. Prior to officially "booking" a house sitting visit, I will meet with you and your pet to assess everyone's comfort and to get an overview of expectations, important details (feeding times, vet info), and logistics (When does your return flight land?). After our meetup, I will book the visit and check in with you prior to or on the first day of the visit. You can expect photos from me and regular check-ins. When you return, you will see notes from me with times and dates, describing what we did. Please note that if you have special requirements, I may request to add extra fees to compensate, at an amount that we both consider to be fair. As pets are not allowed in my home, I am only available for house sitting.

This past weekend we had Sarah pet/house-sit for the second time and once again we were thrilled with the care she took of our home, three cats, and giant dog. She left detailed notes of her stay and sent texts and photos to us while we were gone. I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone who is looking for a kind, reliable in-home sitter for their animals.
Sarah was GREAT. I chose her because other reviewers noted she was thorough and responsible, and she Absolutely was. She showed up at my house exactly on time, she listened carefully, she asked good questions, and she stayed in touch to make sure everything was set for our departure and her arrival time. Her thorough, helpful and friendly attitude shone through on her texts about the dogs and cats. Previously, another dog sitter had house-sat for us, and she was fine, in that she did everything she was supposed to, but I was able to tell from the home security sys. we had on at the time that she had walked the dogs pretty late one morning, and another day quite late, but nothing went wrong at least. On the other hand, with Sarah once we had left, she texted as requested to report her arrival, (right on time again) sent photos and brief but good reports on our two dogs and two cats at least twice daily but never over did it. Each morning at around the time I had asked her to walk the dogs she reported on them with photos, and the day we were returning home she checked with me on our departure times and offered to take the dogs out again if we were delayed so they wouldn't have too long a stretch between bathroom breaks, so to speak. When we came home the mail and newspapers were on the table, the house was clean, the animals were happy and fine, and I found Sarah had taken careful notes of each day, recording how the dogs did on their walks, and had even made up a check-list to confirm that our cat (that needs medicine twice a day) received it twice a day. I can't imagine a better person to care for my pets!
